About this initiative

This site is run by one company with commercial interests in the field it writes about. That is worth stating plainly, along with what follows from it.

Who is behind it

Sverigesmotstandskraft.se is published by VER&IT AB, corporate identity number 556985-1206, Nygatan 71, SE-462 32 Vänersborg, Sweden. The texts are written by Kim Borg, who also wrote the book Sveriges Digitala Motståndskraft. There is no editorial board and no external funder. One person writes, reviews and publishes.

What it is, and what it is not

The site is a free resource about Swedish cybersecurity regulation and practical digital resilience. It is not a public authority, not an industry body, and not certified guidance. Nothing here is legal advice. For binding interpretation, turn to the supervisory authority for your sector, and in an ongoing incident to the police and to CERT-SE.

How it is funded

VER&IT AB pays for the site out of its own revenue. There is no public funding, no sponsorship, no advertising and no affiliate income. Nobody has paid to be mentioned here, and nobody can. The book is sold by Publit Sweden AB, which pays royalties to VER&IT. Signed copies are sold by VER&IT directly. Hosting is with Elastx in Stockholm.

The relationship to the book

The site is the digital half of the book. The chapter pages summarise what each chapter covers, the toolbox is appendices A to F in usable form, and the guides do what a printed page cannot. Selling the book is a commercial interest, and it is the reason this site exists at all. The book is never a prerequisite. Everything here works without it.

The relationship to the simulation

Motståndskraft is a free national preparedness simulation from the same publisher, VER&IT AB. It runs in the browser at thegreyzone.eu and shows chapter references from the book after each decision. It is free and is not sold. See the exercise page for what it covers.

The relationship to VER&IT services

VER&IT sells advisory work, CISO as a service and AI assignments, and owns the products Securapilot and RiskNote. That is the sharpest conflict of interest on this site, because a reader who follows the advice here may end up needing exactly what the publisher sells. The rules below exist for that reason.

How editorial and commercial are kept apart

Four rules. They are rules, not sentiments, and they can be checked.

  1. Categories of tools are explained. Individual products are not recommended. The one exception is free services from public authorities, which are named precisely because there is no commercial interest in naming them.
  2. Where a VER&IT-owned product is mentioned anywhere on the site, the ownership is stated on the spot and the link carries rel="nofollow".
  3. No advertising, no sponsored content, no affiliate links. Nothing here is paid placement.
  4. Factual claims are checked against primary sources before publication, and the review is documented per text in the repository.

The consequence is visible in the toolbox. Two tool categories have no products listed at all, because the only ones VER&IT could have named there are its own. See system tools.
